Twenty years ago, we opened our doors with a simple goal: to provide comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care with an emphasis on exceptional client service and patient care. What we couldn’t have fully imagined back then was how deeply intertwined our lives would become with yours. As we celebrate 20 years of service, we’re not just marking time, we’re celebrating people, pets, families, and a community that has grown alongside us.

A Hospital Built on Relationships, Not Corporations

From the very beginning, we made a deliberate choice to remain locally owned and operated. That decision has shaped everything we do. It means our hospital isn’t guided by corporate policies, distant decision-makers, or productivity quotas. Instead, it’s guided by the needs of our patients, the values of our team, and the relationships we’ve built with you over the years. When you walk through our doors, you’re not entering a chain, you’re visiting neighbors who care deeply about your pets because they’re part of our shared community.

Growing Up Together

Over the past two decades, we’ve had the privilege of watching puppies grow into seniors, kittens become beloved family elders, and first-time pet owners turn into seasoned advocates for their animals’ health. Many of you have trusted us through your pet’s very first exam, nervous spay and neuter days, unexpected illnesses and gentle goodbyes.

At the same time, our own families have grown right here, too. Our kids have gone to school with yours. We’ve run into each other at grocery stores, school events, and community gatherings. We’ve sat together through cold and windy summer soccer games, cheered each other on at State Fair Livestock Auctions, and battled Alaska’s toughest winter storms with you. This shared history matters. It’s what turns appointments into relationships and a hospital into a trusted part of the community.

Veterinary medicine has changed dramatically over the last 20 years. Advances in diagnostics, treatments, and technology have allowed us to offer better care than ever before—and we’ve embraced that progress wholeheartedly. What hasn’t changed is why we do this work. We still believe in:
